Bahraini man accused of killing dogs acquitted
Manama : The Lower Criminal Court has acquitted a Bahraini man of killing stray dogs that had eaten his chickens and attacked children, citing he acted in defence of children and property. The defendant was breeding chickens in his yard when the stray dogs attacked him.This caused him to kill one of them with an axe. He then spotted the dogs attacking children near his house. He used the same axe to kill another dog. Subsequently, a case was filed against him for killing pets. The Court dropped the charges against him, stating that the defendant was only reacting in defence.
