Al Hilal Hospital, Medical Centre receive JCI accreditation
Manama : Al Hilal Hospital in Muharraq and Al Hilal Multi Specialty Medical Centre in Riffa have received Joint Commission International’s Gold Seal of Approval for Hospital and Ambulatory Care Accreditation, it was announced yesterday.
This development comes as Al Hilal Hospital is celebrating its 10th anniversary today. It is the second hospital in the Kingdom to get JCI accreditation. Among medical centres, Al Hilal Multi Specialty Medical Centre is the first to achieve this accreditation.
JCI Accreditation is a quality certification that is given after stringent inspection and review of hospital policies, quality standards which ensure patient safety and quality of care at the highest standards.
During an on-site survey conducted the two institutions in July, a team of JCI expert surveyors evaluated compliance with hospital standards related to a variety of areas including the International Patient Safety Goals, patient assessment and care, anaesthesia and surgical care, medication management, patient and family education, infection prevention and control, governance and leadership etc.
