Bahrain's Health Minister among ten strongest Arab women in government

Manama well-known international publication lists Minister of Health Faeqa bint Saeed Al Saleh among the 10 strongest Arab women government.  

The recently appointed Minister, who took the position last October, was placed tenth on “The 10 Most Powerful Arab Women In Government List” issued by Forbes Middle East recently.

Al Saleh served as the Kingdom’s Social Development Minister, Assistant Secretary General of the League of Arab States (LAS) – Head of Social Affairs Sector, before taking her current position as Health Minister 

Al Saleh also worked as Advisor to the Secretary General of LAS as well as in charge of the Arab Economic and Social Council Secretariat

According to Health Ministry’s website, Al Saleh holds Master of Arts in Library and Information Studies – University of London - U.K. (1991), International Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Planning and Management – UNESCO /International Institute for Educational Planning (IIEP), Paris - France (2001), Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Management – University of Bahrain (1993), Postgraduate Diploma in Library and Information Studies – University of London (1989), Postgraduate Diploma in Education – University of London Institute of Education, UK (1983) and Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English Language and Literature – University of Baghdad (1976).
