PM hails expats’ role in Bahrain's progress
Manama : The role of expatriate communities in the Kingdom’s development drive is vital and commendable, said Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa yesterday.
The Prime Minister was speaking during a meeting with Thai Ambassador Chayapan Bamrungphong, the Philippines Embassy Charge D’Affaires, Maria Baz Cortes, and Indian Embassy Charge D’Affaires Meera Sisodia at Gudaibiya Palace.
Expressing satisfaction at growing relations, the Premier also assured the diplomats that the Kingdom would ensure the rights of the expatriate communities here according to national laws and international conventions.
Prince Khalifa reiterated Bahrain’s keenness to boost bilateral relations to serve common interests and to further enhance economic and trade relations.
Meanwhile, the diplomats thanked the Bahrain Government for the support given to their communities here. They also lauded Bahrain’s developed and flexible laws guaranteeing full rights for the expatriate workers.
