Man gets 10-year jail in drug case
The High Criminal Court has sentenced a 27-year-old Bahraini man to 10 years in jail on grounds of selling drugs.
He was also fined BD5000. The defendant was arrested after one of his customers was captured following a tip-off.
The latter told police that he was receiving the drugs from the defendant, thus an officer in plain clothes was assigned to lure him into selling drugs.
It’s said that the officer requested BD100 worth of hashish, and the defendant was nabbed while handing over the drugs.
The police seized different types of unlawful narcotics from his possession. Other illicit drugs were found to be stashed in his home.
According to court files, the defendant tested positive of drugs.
