Security, safety measures in Sakhir during BIAS 2016
National efforts to ensure the full success of the activities of Bahrain International Airshow 2016 (BIAS) has been doubled, said Southern Governor Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa.
This came as the Governor paid a visit to Sakhir camping Centre, where he met representatives from the security authorities at the Supreme Camping Season Committee, including the National Guard, General Directorate of Traffic and Southern Governorate Police.
The governor was briefed on the security and traffic plans in preparation for the BIAS 2016 activities to be hosted in Bahrain on 21-23 January.
He called on people attending Sakhir area during the airshow to fully cooperate with security authorities for maintaining security and safety.
Officials informed all campers in areas adjacent to the Isa Air Base that camping will not be allowed during the airshow for their own safety, including the whole area of Um-Jadir and parts of Jabal Al-Dukhan and Sakhir.
