RBH welcomes expert pulmonologist on board

Royal Bahrain Hospital (RBH) announced the addition of Specialist Pulmonologist Dr Maria Teresa Catacutan to its team of expert medical team at the hospital’s newly established Department of Pulmonology. 

Dr Maria is a well-known Pulmonologist who brings along rich experience in the fields of diagnosis, management and treatment of a wide spectrum of pulmonary disorders and diseases, including asthma, lung cancer and smoking related illnesses, in addition to respiratory failure. 

Moreover, Dr Maria’s area of expertise includes the treatment of bronchitis, upper and lower respiratory infections, infectious lung diseases including pneumonia and tuberculosis, as well as sleep apnea and sleep disorders with a focus on COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease).

“It is a pleasure to have Dr Maria as a member of the RBH medical team... her extensive experience will certainly enrich the outstanding services provided to our community members,” said RBH President Ahmed Jawahery.

“Our medical team and facilities are prepared to handle outpatient and inpatient pulmonary cases. Moreover, we are ready to manage complicated and  intensive-care cases at our fully-established ICU,” added Dr Maria.
