Bahraini jailed for forging domestic help application
The High Criminal Court has sentenced a 62-year-old Bahraini man to three years behind bars for forging an application to bring a domestic servant from abroad. The defendant is said to have managed to enable the woman to come to Bahrain by registering her under the sponsorship of a Bahraini man without his approval by counterfeiting his signature.
His crime surfaced after the victim’s application to bring a maid was denied by the authorities.
