Global focus on housing strides, Bahrain’s participation reflects the royal keenness to promote sustainable development goal

Bahrain’s housing strides will be showcased tomorrow, at the headquarters of the International Peace Institute (IPI) in New York, in the United States. The Ministry of Housing will be holding a discussion session themed “Decent, Secure and Affordable Housing, Cornerstone of Sustainable Development”.

The event will be held on the sidelines of the presentation of Bahrain’s first voluntary report to implement the goals of sustainable development 2030.

Cabinet Affairs Minister Mohammed Al Mutawa will chair Bahrain’s high-level delegation at the UN High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development to be held from July 16 to July 18.

Housing Minister Bassem Al Hamer will outline Bahrain’s strides and the ministry’s strenuous efforts and dedicated plans to provide citizens with decent housing. He will also shed light on Bahrain’s ambitious plans to construct new world-standard towns in line with the 11th Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations as part of the 2030 Agenda.
