Mother India’s Crochet Queens (MICQ) achieve Guinness World Record Hat trick honored by Indian Embassy

Thirteen women of the Mother India’s Crochet Queens (MICQ) –Bahrain were felicitated by the Indian Embassy for their third consecutive award from the World Guinness Records.

The Guinness certificates were awarded to mark the “World record” for “The largest display of Crochet Sculptures”. It was achieved with a display of 58,917 sculptures by MICQ, in Chennai, India on 21st January 2018.

Subashri Natarajan was the woman behind this immense project, having masterminded the group’s previous successful record attempts as well.

The Group has successfully set earlier Guinness Records for the largest crochet blanket and the longest crochet scarf in 2016 and 2017 respectively.

The recipients of the Guinness Award included Asha Rani, Ashwini Anil, Ashwini Basmatkar, Darshana Rashmin Udeshi, Harini Mukundh, Maliakkal Bleseena George, Prajakta Khedkar, Priya Sethuraman, Rajeshwari Aplesh Chouhan, Savera Mahendra, Sowmya Ramkumar, Swapnali Milind Divekar and Vasanthi Gurusami.
