HM King’s patronage to Global Centre hailed
Manama : Governor of Capital Governorate Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa hailed the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to King Hamad Global Centre for Inter-Faith Dialogue and Peaceful Co-existence in the United States of America.
The centre, Shaikh Hisham said, reflects the vision of His Majesty the King for peaceful coexistence among its various components regardless of religious, ethnic or intellectual affiliation.
“There are at least 19 churches in Manama, some of them are up to 100 years old and a number of places of worship for other sects, which includes an old synagogue in the heart of the city,” Shaikh Hisham said.
This coexistence, according to him, supports the continuity of cultural and civilisational communication to widen the road to comprehensive modernisation led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa bin Al Khalifa.
“King Hamad Global Centre is a continuation of the humanitarian efforts and at the same time, the modern vision of HM the King to spread the concepts of tolerance, peace and love,” Shaikh Hisham stressed.
