A3 storm water drainage network project completed
Manama : Sanitary Engineering Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs & Urban Planning Asma Murad said the ministry has completed the A3 Storm Water Drainage Network Project, which will serve 10 blocks in both Muharraq and the Capital Governorate.
The project reflects the Ministry’s efforts to improve infrastructure and revamp locations that witness storm water pools, in preparation for the upcoming rainy season.
According to Murad, the project comprises of extending 2.25km long main connections, constructing 21 inspection chambers, 189 drains and 31 storm water collection tanks to serve residents of Muharraq and the Capital Governorate.
The project covers Blocks 216, 212, 210 and 202 in Muharraq, Block 226 in Busaiteen, Block 233 in Dair, Block 236 in Samaheej, Block 244 in Arad, Block 341 in Juffair and Block 359 in Zinj.
The BD479,489 project was awarded to Arad Contracting Company.
