CR7’s DNA sought in regard to rape case
Las Vegas police are investigating a rape allegation against Cristiano Ronaldo.
A warrant has been sent to authorities in Italy requesting a sample of the Portuguese football superstar's DNA.
Investigators wish to conclude whether Ronaldo's DNA matches DNA found on Kathryn Mayorga's dress.
Ronaldo was accused by Kathryn Mayorga, 34, who claimed the footballer sexually assaulted her in a Las Vegas hotel in 2009.
Mayorga claimed that CR7 dispatched a team of “fixers” to obstruct the criminal investigation and manipulate her into keeping quiet for $375,000.
Mayorga's lawsuit accuses Ronaldo, 33, of taking advantage of her fragile emotional state to coerce her into signing a settlement and nondisclosure agreement in 2009.
