300,000 homes without power in Poland after storms

Around 300,000 homes were without power Monday after violent winds swept the country on Sunday, the government said.
One person was killed and 17 were injured in car accidents caused by falling trees.
Easterly gales reaching up to 100 kilometres (60 miles) per hour damaged nearly 800 buildings, with Krakow, Wroclaw and the Baltic coast worst hit, officials said.
