Kuwait Foils ISIS Plot Targeting Vital Facility
Kuwaiti security forces have thwarted a terrorist plot targeting a vital facility and arrested a citizen affiliated with ISIS before he could carry out the planned attack.
The State Security Service conducted surveillance and monitoring operations that led to the suspect’s arrest. Investigations found that he had received training in explosives manufacturing and drone operation.
Authorities said the suspect had also manufactured a drone with the intention of using it to target a vital facility.
Legal procedures have been taken against the suspect, who was referred to the relevant authorities for further investigation and action in accordance with the law.
The Ministry of Interior said security services will continue proactive efforts to detect and prevent activities that threaten national security and stability, stressing that suspicious activities will be dealt with firmly and in accordance with the law.
