The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) and the Saudi Arabian Armed Forces carried out precision airstrikes against Iran-aligned militant targets in eastern Iraq, targeting logistics hubs and weapons storage sites used to support attacks on U.S. forces and Saudi energy infrastructure.

According to CENTCOM, the joint operation targeted multiple facilities linked to militants directed by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). The strikes came in response to more than 30 aerial drone attacks launched over the past 72 hours, which the U.S. said were orchestrated by the IRGC.

The U.S. military said the recent drone attacks on American forces were unsuccessful and caused no significant damage.

CENTCOM also stated that Iran-aligned militias attempted more than 600 attacks against U.S. citizens and facilities in Iraq between February and April 2026.

The command warned that the IRGC and its affiliated militant groups must halt such attacks or face further U.S. military action.
