Karachi: Pakistan rescue teams successfully located the wreckage of a missing private cargo plane in the Arabian Sea. The Boeing 737 aircraft, operated by K2 Airways, disappeared from radar screens during its approach to Karachi after departing from Sharjah.
Debris was discovered fifty-three nautical miles south of Ormara port following an intense twelve-hour search operation. However, the bodies of the five crew members have yet to be found as deep-sea rescue efforts continue.
The aircraft reported a severe navigational system malfunction shortly before losing contact with air traffic control. Radar data indicated that the plane underwent sharp heading changes and a rapid descent before the crash.
Rough monsoon weather conditions and extremely deep waters are hampering naval vessels. Authorities continue deploying multiple civilian and military assets at sea to trace the missing crew members while families wait.
