Buenos Aires: A 22-year-old student pilot in Argentina landed a light aircraft safely by herself after her flight instructor tragically jumped to his death mid-flight.

The incident unfolded during a routine flight training session over Córdoba. Without warning, the instructor, 42-year-old Leandro Andrés Bertazzo, unbuckled his seatbelt and removed his headset.

Bertazzo looked at his trainee and said, ‘You know what you have to do, carry on,’ before forcing the Cessna cabin door open against immense wind resistance.

Despite experiencing severe emotional shock, the student pilot bravely maintained absolute composure. She took full control of the aircraft and guided it to a perfect landing back at the airfield.

Flight officials stated Bertazzo showed no warning signs earlier that day. Local federal authorities have launched an investigation into his recent history of neuropsychiatric medical treatments.
