Dubai: At Jumeirah Beach 2, Dubai has opened the first seaside sensory room in the Middle East to assist tourists with autism and sensory sensitivity, marking another step toward inclusive tourism.

The air-conditioned room is equipped with soft lighting, soothing sounds, sensory toys, and calming textures to assist persons in regulating sensory overload while spending the day at the beach.

The program is part of the Dubai Municipality's attempts to make public beaches more accessible. Jumeirah Beach 2 also has easy walkways, floating wheelchairs, dedicated changing facilities, and trained staff to assist those with impairments.

Officials stated that the project's goal is to ensure that people of determination and their families can enjoy Dubai's beaches in a secure, comfortable, and inviting setting, underscoring the emirate's commitment to accessible and inclusive tourism.
