Qatar Condemns Iranian Strikes on Civilian Targets in Kuwait and Bahrain
Qatar has strongly condemned the Iranian attacks on civilian targets in Kuwait and Bahrain, including the strike on Kuwait International Airport that caused significant damage and injuries.
In a statement, Qatar's Foreign Ministry described the attacks as a serious violation of the sovereignty of both countries and a breach of the 1949 Geneva Conventions and international humanitarian law, which prohibit attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure.
The ministry reiterated Qatar's rejection of targeting civilian facilities and vital infrastructure, calling for de-escalation and efforts to safeguard regional and global security and stability.
Qatar also expressed full solidarity with Kuwait and Bahrain, backing measures taken by both countries to protect their sovereignty and security, and wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the attacks.
