Abu Dhabi: The number of people injured in the incident near Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD) has risen to six, authorities in the United Arab Emirates confirmed, after a third fire broke out in the area.

The injuries, including that of a Pakistani national reported in the latest update, are described as minor to moderate.

The incident was caused by falling debris following the successful interception of a ballistic missile by air defence systems, which triggered multiple fires in the industrial zone.

Officials said all three fires have now been brought under control, with cooling operations ongoing to secure the site and prevent further flare-ups.

Authorities have urged the public to rely only on official sources for information and to avoid spreading rumours or unverified reports.
