Plane crash in Ahmedabad: 169 Indians, 53 British nationals on crashed Air India flight

The Air India flight that crashed shortly after take-off in Ahmedabad on Thursday was carrying 169 Indian nationals, along with passengers from the United Kingdom, Portugal, and Canada, sources told Reuters.
Of the 242 people on board Flight AI171, which was en route to London's Gatwick airport, 217 were adults and 11 were children, sources said. The nationality breakdown included 43 British, 7 Portuguese, and 1 Canadian passenger.
Authorities have not yet released an official list of victims or survivors. Emergency operations are ongoing at the crash site, and multiple agencies are coordinating rescue and recovery efforts.
