BIS Celebrates Bahrain National Sports Day with a Vibrant and Inclusive Sports Carnival

In celebration of “Bahrain National Sports Day”, Bhavans- Bahrain Indian School (BIS) hosted a dynamic and meticulously organised Sports Carnival, fostering a culture of physical fitness, teamwork, and holistic development among its students. The event was inaugurated by the Honourable Principal, Mr Saji Jacob, who formally declared the Sports Day open by releasing a cluster of balloons into the air, symbolising enthusiasm, unity, and the spirit of healthy competition.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across all grade levels. Young learners from Pre-KG to Grade 2 engaged in a wide spectrum of age-appropriate athletic events, including the Obstacle Race, Both-Feet Jump Race, 50-Metre Dash, and Frog Race. The carnival also featured an array of thoughtfully designed skillbased and recreational activities such as the Hula Hoop Race, Math Relay, Ball Race Station, Directional Jump Challenge, Cone Carry to Basket, Number Hopscotch, and Cup Stacking, among others.
Students from Grade 3 onwards demonstrated commendable sportsmanship and team spirit as they participated in competitive team sports, including Football, Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, and structured Hula Hoop activities, alongside other recreational games.
The Sports Carnival not only celebrated athleticism but also reinforced the values of perseverance, leadership, and healthy competition. The vibrant atmosphere, marked by energy, camaraderie, and enthusiastic cheering, made the occasion both memorable and impactful.
The Directors, Mr Himanshu Verma and Mrs Ritu Verma, expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the meticulous planning and seamless execution of the event. They commended the students for their spirited participation, discipline, and exemplary sportsmanship, and lauded the dedicated efforts of the staff whose commitment ensured the grand success of the celebration.
