Bhavans-Bahrain Indian School (BIS) signed a landmark partnership with Sports Hub and Padukone School of Badminton, marking a historic milestone in the sporting landscape of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

This prestigious collaboration brings world-class badminton coaching and international training standards to Bahrain, making BIS the first school in the region to host an academy operating under the direct mentorship of Padma Shri awardee Mr. Prakash Padukone, former World No. 1 and All England Champion. His name remains synonymous with excellence, discipline, and global success in badminton.

Elite Leadership and Coaching Excellence

The academy will be led by Mr. CM Junith, CEO of Sports Hub W.L.L., an accomplished former international badminton player. A BWF Level 1 Coach and BWF Level 1 Tutor, Mr. Junith brings extensive experience in training young aspirants as well as elite-level players.

Under his leadership, the academy’s training curriculum, daily coaching sessions, and performance development programs will be meticulously designed to meet international benchmarks. His dual expertise as a former professional player and certified BWF tutor ensures that students receive training that is both technically rigorous and pedagogically sound.

All coaches associated with the academy will be BWF-certified or Padukone School of Badminton (PSB)-certified, guaranteeing the highest standards of coaching quality.

A Shared Vision for Sporting Excellence

The partnership was formally finalized during a meeting attended by key representatives from both organizations. BIS was represented by Directors Mr. Himanshu Varma and Ms. Ritu Verma, along with Principal Mr. Saji Jacob. Sports Hub W.L.L. was represented by CEO Mr. CM Junith and Director Ms. Sunayana Junith.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Verma highlighted that “Our objective is to nurture the next generation of athletes by providing them with access to the same technical mentorship and professional training systems that have produced world-class champions,”.
