As part of its Platinum Jubilee celebrations, The Indian School, Bahrain (ISB) will mark Bahrain National Day with a grand and meaningful programme at its Riffa campus at 9am on Monday, 15 December 2025.

The event is being organised as a tribute to the Kingdom of Bahrain and an expression of gratitude for the unwavering support and encouragement extended to the institution over the past seven and a half decades. The centrepiece of the celebration will be a largescale human flag formation involving more than 3,500 students, visually depicting the national flag of Bahrain and aimed at securing a place in the Golden Book of World Records.

The celebration will also feature an ambitious attempt by ISB to achieve three record-breaking feats in a single day: the largest human formation of a national flag, the highest number of people saluting the national flag simultaneously, and the largest number of participants chanting a national slogan in three languages.

A unique and symbolic feature of the initiative is that the human flag will be formed mainly by primary students, supported by staff members, reflecting ISB’s commitment to instilling national pride, civic awareness and respect for the host country from an early age. The mass formation and record attempts will serve as a powerful expression of patriotism and unity, celebrating Bahrain’s rich cultural heritage and fostering a strong sense of identity among students.

Commenting on the initiative, Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, Hon. Chairman of Indian School Bahrain, said: “We’re aiming for over 3,500 participants, and with the support of our students and the local community, we hope to set a new benchmark in both student participation and national pride.”

The Bahrain National Day celebrations form a key highlight of ISB’s Platinum Jubilee year and also reflect the school’s long-standing connection with the Kingdom of Bahrain, which has been home to the institution for more than 75 years.
