For the first time ever, Nadeen School travelled to Al Ain to participate in the BSME U11 Games, spanning three full days. The outcome was a monumental achievement, securing 4th place overall.

The team emerged as champions in Boys Basketball, claiming the 1st place trophy and gold medals. Additionally, they secured 2nd place in the Athletics competition and earned a total of 5 gold, 4 silver, and 4 bronze medals.

The 24 students diligently prepared since September, engaging in various sports for this highly competitive event. The BSME U11 International Games include Athletics, Swimming, Netball, Football, and Basketball, hosting a total of 10 schools this year.

Being part of such an event aligns with Nadeen School's vision and values, emphasising the crucial role of competitive sports in student development, growth and the provision of diverse opportunities for all students.

The BSME games is the pinnacle of school sport in the GCC. Throughout the three day competition the students showcased a great deal of commitment, sportsmanship and passion as they encountered numerous challenges and competition.

On Day 1, students participated in the Athletics event & Swimming competition. Our athletes performed remarkably well in both. On Day 2, the team split into Boys Football & Girls Netball. The calibre of opposition was high, however the students battled their way through the games to secure some vital points in the overall standings.

On Day 3, there were a lot of tired bodies, however, both the Boys Basketball & Girls Football teams rose to the occasion and delivered a fantastic performance. The Boys Basketball team went undefeated throughout the tournament and won gold.

Meanwhile, our girls made their way to the semi finals before just missing out on penalties. This was then collated against all other schools for the final standings that were awarded at the Awards Ceremony. Nadeen School finished 4th Place overall which is incredible for our first ever U11 international games and we are already anticipating next year!

Also at the Awards Ceremony, one student was selected across all the students competing in each different sport as a Most Valuable Player (MVP). The MVP for boys basketball was awarded to one of Nadeen School’s students! Arthur Elson from Year 6 was incredibly deserving of this prestigious award.
