Bahraini-British motor racing team 2 Seas Motorsport were fastest yesterday in the third test session of the twoday prologue in the GT World Challenge Europe’s Endurance Cup, held at Circuit Paul Ricard in France.

Behind the wheel of 2 Seas’ Mercedes-AMG GT3 #60 car, the crew of team co-owner His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Lewis Williamson of Scotland, and Martin Kodric of Croatia set the overall fastest lap of one minute 52.800 seconds.

Behind them on the session’s overall timesheet were Rowe Racing in a BMW M 0.030 seconds behind, while GetSpeed, also in a Mercedes-AMG car, were classified third 0.050s back, while also racing in the Silver Cup.

Meanwhile, in the fourth session of the prologue which wrapped up yesterday’s events, 2 Seas were 10th overall on the timesheet and second in class.

They clocked a best lap of 1:53.378.

Team WRT were the overall leaders, while Winward Racing were quickest amongst the Gold Cup runners.

With yesterday’s events, the prologue is now complete and the field is all set for the opening round of the GT World Challenge Europe’s Endurance Cup, which takes place from April 5 to 7, also at Paul Ricard.

There are five meetings in all in the season.

Another prologue on May 21 and 22 will be held ahead of the 24-hour race in Spa, Belgium, marking round two from June 26 to 30.

Round three will take place at the Nurburgring in Germany from July 26 to 28, and then the fourth and penultimate meeting will be held from September 20 to 22 in Monza, Italy.

The curtain-closer is then scheduled for November 21 to 23 in Jeddah.

This is 2 Seas’ debut campaign in the GT World Challenge Europe’s Endurance Cup, and it adds to their participation in the British GT Championship, in which they are the reigning GT3 teams’ title-holders.
