International recognition for Bahrain’s Rashid Equestrian and Endurance Club
The sport of horse racing in Bahrain has received world- class recognition after the Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI) recognised and promoted the Rashid Equestrian and Endurance Club to the third international standard accredited to horse racing clubs. The reclassification occurred during a FEI meeting in Paris.
A Director at Rashid Equestrian and Endurance Club, Mohammed Abdullah Qassim Al Hermi, said that the accreditation will bring numerous gains to the Club, and contribute to the development of horse racing standards within the Kingdom.
Director Al Hermi praised the efforts of the Club’s High Commission, chaired by son of Crown Prince, HRH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, for its efforts over recent years, which have made a significant contribution to developing the standard of the sport.
The director also emphasised that the accomplishment was a culmination of the directives of the High Commission’s Chairman, His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Isa Al Khalifa, and Deputy Chairman, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and the
outstanding efforts of the Club’s staff who have worked diligently over recent years.
