BIC prepares first-ever F1 double-header in Bahrain

Top officials from ministries and government agencies discussed ways to ramp up preparations for Bahrain’s highly anticipated Formula 1 double-header at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) - Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix and Rolex Sakhir Grand Prix.
BIC Chief Executive Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa presided over the discussions, held online, in which other top BIC officials too participated.
BIC Governmental Affairs Security and Safety Senior Manager Beshara Abdu Beshara detailed matters on the event organisation, especially health and safety requirements considering the pandemic situation.
With less than a month left to go before two of Bahrain’s biggest sporting events kicks off, arrangements are being finalised to ensure success, said organisers.
The BIC is hosting a Formula 1 double-header for the first time. The Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix will take place from November 27 to 29, followed the very next weekend by the Rolex Sakhir Grand Prix from December 4 to 6.
