BAS Motorsport Team set six-hour endurance karting challenge at BIKC

Bahrain Airport Services (BAS) Motorsport Team are all set to battle for podium places, pride, and bragging rights Saturday (Editor’s note: November 9) in the six-hour race of the Bahrain Karting Enduro Championship (BKEC), to be held at Bahrain International Karting Circuit (BIKC) in Sakhir.

BAS have four entrants in the meeting, which marks the second round of the 2019/2020 BKEC season. Headlining their challenge will be the BAS Pro team, spearheaded by talented BAS Motorsport Ambassador Lewis Smith. The three other squads will be competing in the Corporate class, and they include an all-female squad, making for the most dynamic roster of drivers in the event.

BAS CEO Mr Salman Al-Mahmeed has given his full support to the BAS Motorsport Team, which is being managed by BAS COO Mr Tony Smith. “We are extremely proud of the staff that have been committed to training for the event and the only all-female team entry, which is a fantastic achievement from all the women,” said Smith.

“We hope all the drivers have a great experience and enjoy the event, good luck to you all!” Leading the Corporate teams are Mohammed Faqihi and Ahmed Kooheji. The other drivers include Mahmood Saati, Ziyad Khalifa, Rene Mader, Dylan Campos, Don Vinura, Saud Alshater, Mohammed Alansari. Their team assignments will be determined just prior to the start of the race.
