HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Affairs and Youth Affairs, has congratulated Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi following Egyptian rider Mahmoud Samir Al-Ghareeb’s historic qualification for the World Endurance Championship — a first in Egyptian equestrian history.
HH Shaikh Nasser confirmed his personal support for Al-Ghareeb, overseeing a dedicated preparation programme that provided optimal technical and administrative conditions for the qualification bid, under the framework of the Bahrain-Egypt sports cooperation agreement.
The qualification was secured after Al-Ghareeb finished ninth in the international 160km Samorin Endurance Race aboard “Battah,” a horse from the Royal Bahraini Team’s stables.
HH Shaikh Nasser said the achievement reflects Bahrain’s commitment to elevating Arab participation in global endurance competitions and transferring expertise to fellow Arab nations.
