Fighters competing at PFL MENA: Dubai - Pride of Arabia officially weighed in ahead of tomorrow night’s highly anticipated event at Coca-Cola Arena, with the action set to begin at 5pm GST and broadcast live on STARZPLAY.
The main event was confirmed after Mohammad Yahya and Mehdi Saadi successfully made weight for their Featherweight Tournament Quarterfinal clash. Yahya weighed in at 145.8 pounds as he prepares to make his PFL debut in front of a home crowd, while Saadi came in at 145.6 pounds.
The co-main event between undefeated Moroccan fighter Salah Eddine Hamli and Algerian veteran Ylies Djiroun was also made official. Hamli weighed 154.8 pounds ahead of his Lightweight Tournament Quarterfinal bout, while Djiroun registered 155.2 pounds.
One of the most anticipated appearances on the card comes from rising Emirati prospect Zamzam Al Hammadi, who successfully weighed in at 113.4 pounds for her Women’s Strawweight Amateur Showcase Bout against Abeer Mansour, who weighed 114.8 pounds. The 18-year-old has gained attention in the UAE combat sports scene following success in both MMA and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitions.
Organisers also confirmed that the scheduled bout between Georges Eid and Zakaria Bichi has been cancelled after both fighters missed weight. As a result, the matchup between Basel Shalaan and Abdullah Saleem has now been elevated to an official Lightweight Tournament Quarterfinal, bringing the total fight card to 10 bouts.
Other confirmed matchups include Bahrain’s Hamza Kooheji against Taha Bendaoud in the Featherweight Tournament Quarterfinal, alongside showcase bouts featuring Hamad Marhoon, Saher Qasmieh, Ahmed Albrahim and Ibrahim Mahmoud.
Professional Fighters League launched PFL MENA in partnership with SURJ Sports Investment to spotlight top MMA talent from the Middle East and North Africa through its “win and advance” tournament format.
