As part of the vision and programs of the Jockey Foundation at the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC), the third cohort of trainee jockeys for the 2025/2026 season was honored at the Bahrain Jockey Academy at REHC, amid a strong turnout of young Bahraini men and women.
The program concluded with the honoring of 38 trainees who successfully completed it after five months of intensive theoretical and practical training covering the fundamentals and skills of horse racing, under the supervision of a number of specialized lecturers and trainers.
The program delivered strong results among the participants, who were divided into four groups: Group (A), with trainee Sayed Hussain Mohammed as its top performer; Group (B), led by trainee Loay Mohammed; Group (C-1), led by trainee Abbas Rajab; and Group (C-2), led by trainee Asma Mushrif.
The training programs organized by the Bahrain Jockey Academy continue to achieve significant success, reflected in the growing participation of young Bahrainis and their outstanding results, alongside an increasing rate of first-place finishes in seasonal races.
These programs form part of the Jockey Foundation’s ongoing efforts to develop national talent in equestrianism and horse racing, making the sport more appealing to young Bahrainis.
This is achieved by providing an ideal environment and comprehensive support to enhance their skills, thereby laying a solid foundation for a new generation of Bahraini jockeys and preparing them to compete at regional and international levels.
