The Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club will celebrate Bahrain’s National Day with a special racing festival on December 18, staging the ninth meeting of the season in a festive national and sporting atmosphere, organisers said.
The National Day Festival coincides with the Kingdom’s National Day celebrations and the anniversary of the accession of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and will feature a programme combining competitive racing with cultural, artistic and entertainment activities designed for families and fans of all ages. Officials said the festival aims to blend patriotic celebrations with the excitement of horse racing to deliver a full evening of entertainment.
The ninth meeting will be run for several major trophies, including cups sponsored by the General Sports Authority, the Bahrain Olympic Committee, the National Day Cup backed by the Ministry of Information, and the Dallah Promotions Foundation Cup. A total of 69 horses are set to compete across eight races, with strong competition expected due to the closely matched quality of the runners.
Organisers invited the public to attend the festival, with tickets available online and at the venue, as Bahrain’s premier racing club marks the national occasion with one of the season’s showcase meetings.
