Bahrain’s national men’s 3x3 basketball team arrived in Riyadh last weekend, ready to make their mark as the sixth Islamic Solidarity Games tip off today. The squad, blending experienced campaigners and dynamic young talent, will compete in Group A of the fast-paced tournament at the Promenade Art Tower.

The Kingdom’s hopes rest on Mohamed Buallay, Sayed Mohamed Hameed, Milos Supica, and player-coach Bogdan Dragovic, who have sharpened their skills in a friendly match against Germany’s Skyliners ahead of the competition. That preparation has set the stage for Bahrain to hit the ground running.

Bahrain opens their campaign this evening against Egypt at 6:15 PM, facing Ahmed Yasser Mohammed, Mohab Abdellatif, Mohamed Elgohary, and Youssef Helmy. Later, the team takes on hosts Saudi Arabia at 9:35 PM, with the Saudis fielding Saad Alsubaei, Abdulmalik Ashoor, Raad Barnawi, and Mohamed Alkhater. Tomorrow, Bahrain meets Algeria, whose squad includes key players from their national team that lifted the Arab Championship trophy on home soil in August.

The tournament will move into the knockout phase on November 19, with semifinals scheduled for 5:50 PM and 6:15 PM, followed by the bronze medal match at 7:05 PM and the gold medal final at 8:20 PM. Every game promises high-intensity action as Bahrain battles to convert preparation into podium finishes.
