Riffa reach quarter-finals at 3x3 Masters

Riffa’s 3x3 basketball team booked a place in the quarter-finals of the Masters World Tour in Deqing, China, after finishing second in their group. The team opened the tournament with a convincing 21-10 win over Serbia’s Vozdovac before losing 21-17 to host side Chong Ming in their second match.
Bahrain’s representatives will face Group 2 leaders Toulouse of France today at 11:50am Bahrain time, a fixture that offers an opportunity to extend their strong tournament form and advance to the semi-finals.
Seef bow out
Meanwhile, Seef were eliminated after losing both group stage games. They lost 20-12 to Toulouse in the opener and narrowly lost 18-14 to London of the United States in their second match. Despite showing clear improvement, Seef were unable to overcome the experience of their American opponents, missing out on a chance to advance.
