Fatima Al-Mutawajj to Officiate at Arab Youth Basketball Tournament in Cairo

The Bahrain Basketball Federation has appointed international referee Fatima Al-Mutawajj to participate as an accompanying official in the Arab Youth Basketball Championship. The tournament is being held in Cairo, Egypt, from August 10 to 17, with top Arab national teams taking part.

Fatima’s participation reflects the federation’s strategy to strengthen the presence of Bahraini women in basketball officiating and showcase their skills at regional and international levels. It also highlights the federation’s commitment to supporting and qualifying national talents to represent Bahrain in various overseas competitions.

The Bahrain Basketball Federation emphasized that Fatima Al-Mutawajj’s selection is a testament to the high reputation Bahraini referees have earned and reflects the trust placed in national female officials. Fatima brings extensive experience and strong competence in managing games, which has enabled her to represent Bahrain in numerous sports events.

The federation also stresses its dedication to developing female talents in all basketball fields, including refereeing, coaching, and administration, believing firmly in the valuable role Bahraini women play in advancing national sports.
