Bahrain’s futsal team crush Hong Kong again in dominant prep for Asian qualifiers

Bahrain’s men’s futsal national team made it two straight wins over Hong Kong with a resounding 6-0 win last night at the BFA futsal hall in Riffa.
What made the rout more impressive was that six different players found the net. Ammar Mihad opened the scoring, followed by goals from Ahmed Antar, Hassan Al Jadahesah, Abbas Eid, Mohammed Abdulla, and Salman Al Mulla.
Qualifiers on the Horizon
The friendlies are part of Bahrain’s tune-up for the AFC Futsal Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers, set to kick off next month. Bahrain have been drawn in Group B, hosted in Bangkok, alongside Thailand, South Korea, and Brunei Darussalam.
Road to Jakarta
A total of 31 nations will be competing in the qualifiers, split into eight groups. Only eight group winners and the seven best runners-up will qualify for the finals, joining hosts Indonesia at the 18th edition of the AFC Futsal Asian Cup, to be held in Jakarta from January 27 to February 7, 2026.
