LE JARDIN at The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain

Th e Ritz - Carlton Bahrain takes another stride towards sustainability with the launch of Le Jardin, a unique restaurant dedicated to offering an unparalleled dining experience focusing on sustainability and locally sourced produce.

This new addition further solidifies the hotel’s commitment to environmental responsibility and supporting local communities.

“Imagine arriving at a calm place after a busy day to unwind. As the gentle sea breeze kisses your skin, soft music plays in the background, complementing the melodic symphony of the ocean. The scent of grilled Japanese skewers and aromatic herbs fills the air, tingling your taste buds with anticipation. You bask in the blissful moment while your worries drift away”, said Bernard de Villele, General Manager at The Ritz-Carlton Bahrain.

The team works directly with Bahrain’s local farmers, handpicking the freshest seasonal ingredients to create exceptional dishes that celebrate the richness of local agriculture.

It is truly a farmto-table experience, where every bite tells a story of the dedication and hard work of growing these ingredients.

Executive Chef Joergen Sodemann explained how he had introduced the traditional Japanese art of Kushiyaki to Le Jardin, which he mastered during his time in Japan.

Kushiyaki is a generic term for skewered meat and vegetables that displays the harmony of locally sourced ingredients’ colours, textures, shapes, and flavours.

Their corn tempura is tasty and addictive, a unique addition to the menu. Grilled shrimp and steak on skewers and grilled scallops are delicious bites.

The restaurant’s commitment to sustainability extends beyond home-grown herbs, including Oregano, Mint, Rosemary, and Thyme.

Le Jardin’s serene ambience provides the perfect setting for guests to unwind.

Guests can bask in the tranquillity of the terrace, with the beautiful Arabian Gulf as its backdrop.

Combining natural elements with contemporary design creates an inviting atmosphere that enhances the dining experience.
