INJAZ HOLDS ‘COMPANY OF THE YEAR’ FINALE

Injaz Bahrain, a leading non-profit organisation focused on youth economic empowerment, held its 7th “Company of the Year Competition” yesterday at the Diplomat Radisson Hotel.

The competition is INJAZ Bahrain’s annual celebration of the accomplishments of students who participated in its “the Company” programme.

The two-day event saw student teams aged 17-21 from institutions across Bahrain showcasing their entrepreneurial achievements.

Eleven teams competed in the competition, including 6 from secondary government schools, 3 teams from private schools, a team from the Gifted Centre, and another team from Youth City.

“3 Dots” student company from Al Eman Private School secured the first place in the competition and received trophies from Executive Director of Injaz Bahrain Shaikha Hessa Bint Khalifa Al Khalifa.

The team will now represent the Kingdom of Bahrain at the regional Injaz Al Arab competition, set to take place in Oman in December of this year.

“Interactive Education” from The Bahrain Bayan School, and “Noor” from Ahmed Al Omran Boys School cane second and third, respectively.

Commenting on the conclusion of the event, Shaikha Hessa said, “The competition forms an excellent platform for students to explore team and leadership values. It forms a stepping stone for students in entering the business market and building relationships.”

As part of the programme, students started and managed their own businesses with support from a volunteer from the local business communities. The students created and marketed their own products to realize profit for their shareholders
