Standard Chartered Bahrain chief praises Bahrain’s F1 success in Malaysia

Shaikha Tareef, Acting CEO of Standard Chartered Bank Bahrain, has congratulated His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the success of the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix Formula 1 event in Malaysia.

She said the event showcased Bahrain’s ability to organise and deliver major international events to the highest standards, while strengthening the Kingdom’s global profile.

Shaikha Tareef praised the leadership of HRH Prince Salman and the efforts of the Bahrain team and national workforce involved in organising the Formula 1 event in Malaysia.

She highlighted Bahrain’s advanced infrastructure, organisational expertise and skilled national talent, saying the continued success of Formula 1 reflects the Kingdom’s capacity to deliver world-class events.

She also noted that Formula 1 represents more than a sporting success, serving as an important platform to strengthen Bahrain’s economic and tourism profile and support the business, hospitality, tourism and services sectors.

The event, she added, further enhances Bahrain’s position as an attractive destination for investment and international business.
