Al Baraka Bank Expands Youth Empowerment Efforts
The delegation included Mazin Dhaif, Head of Retail Banking, and Abdullah Suwaileh, Head of Human Resources and Administration, along with several bank officials and employees.
During the visit, the delegation learned about the programmes and activities presented at the 'Our Bahrain' Pavilion, which aim to strengthen national belonging and consolidate citizenship values through innovative educational and interactive experiences targeting young people.
As part of the partnership, the 'Our Bahrain' Executive Office, in cooperation with Al Baraka Islamic Bank, organised the Money Lab workshop at Youth City 2030. The workshop aimed to enhance financial literacy among young people and promote concepts of saving, investment and financial sustainability through an interactive session.
The session gave participants the opportunity to take part, answer questions and win valuable prizes, alongside motivational activities designed to encourage engagement with the content through a combination of education and entertainment. The initiative aimed to contribute to developing a generation that is more financially aware and capable of making responsible financial decisions.
Hussain Yousif Atiyah, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Al Baraka Islamic Bank, said: “We are proud of our partnership with the Executive Office of the National Plan ‘Our Bahrain’, which reflects our belief in the importance of integrating efforts among various national institutions to support initiatives that invest in young people and contribute to preparing them for the future.”
He added: “Our participation in Youth City 2030 is an extension of the bank’s commitment to social responsibility and its role in supporting national programmes that achieve a positive and sustainable impact.”
Attiya also expressed pride in contributing to the Money Lab workshop, which sought to develop participants’ financial literacy and promote saving, investment and sound financial management through an innovative interactive approach.
He said the initiative aligned with the bank’s sustainability strategy and its environmental, social and governance (ESG) objectives, adding that building financial awareness among young people represents a genuine investment in the future of society.

Hala Ahmed Sulaiman, Director of the Executive Office of 'Our Bahrain', expressed appreciation for continuing interactive programmes through the partnership and its role in successfully implementing joint programmes that serve the objectives of the National Plan to Enhance National Belonging and Consolidate the Values of Citizenship, Our Bahrain.
She said community partnerships are an important element in achieving the plan’s objectives and strengthening the participation of various national institutions from the public, private and civil sectors and civil society.
Suleiman added that since the Executive Office was established, efforts have focused on providing an interactive experience for citizens, particularly young people, to translate national values into practical applications linked to their personal and professional daily lives and contribute to building a better and stronger future for all.
