Bahrain Flour Mills Company has confirmed its full readiness to meet market demand during the holy month of Ramadan, reaffirming its longstanding commitment to food security and uninterrupted supply of flour products across the Kingdom.
Commenting on the Company’s preparations, Mr. Basim Mohammed AlSaie, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bahrain Flour Mills Company, stated:
“Since its establishment in 1972, Bahrain Flour Mills has remained committed to ensuring the continuous availability of its products throughout the year, with particular focus on the holy month of Ramadan. As part of our annual approach, the Board of Directors and Executive Management place strong emphasis on early planning to meet the increased demand witnessed during this period.”
He explained that the Company has proactively secured adequate quantities of wheat and flour products to meet anticipated market requirements, especially in light of the increased consumption typically observed during Ramadan.
“In line with the directives of the wise Government and in support of the Kingdom’s food security, the Board and Executive Management have prioritized maintaining sufficient strategic stocks of wheat and flour products. This ensures that the needs of the local market are met without interruption, including key products such as harees, semolina, all-purpose flour, pastry mixes, and luqaimat mixes,” Mr. AlSaie added.
The Chairman further noted that Bahrain Flour Mills has ensured the availability of its full product range across major retail outlets and primary markets, supported by adequate inventory levels to guarantee continuous shelf availability throughout the holy month.
As part of its preparations, the Company completed the import and storage of a wheat shipment aligned with Ramadan demand, which was successfully received on 5 February 2026. The shipment consists of high-quality wheat sourced from leading global suppliers, in line with the Company’s established quality standards.
Mr. AlSaie also highlighted that Bahrain Flour Mills, as one of the companies under the Ghitha Group, continues to coordinate closely with its sister companies to ensure consumer needs are met during Ramadan.
“Through group-wide planning and coordination, we are committed to ensuring that ‘Ghitha’ remains a trusted name synonymous with quality and reliability for consumers across the Kingdom,” he said.
In conclusion, Mr. AlSaie expressed his appreciation to the leadership of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
“We extend our deepest gratitude to the wise leadership of the Kingdom of Bahrain for their continued support and encouragement, which enables us to fulfill our role in supporting food security and serving the community,” he added.
