AMH Honors Sponsors at Prestigious Island Classic Gala Dinner
The American Mission Hospital (AMH) hosted its annual Gala Dinner on Sunday, November 16, at the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa, celebrating and honoring the sponsors whose generosity powered this year’s Island Classic charity golf event.
The elegant evening forms a key highlight of the AMH Island Classic, a longstanding charity golf tournament held under the esteemed patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
AMH Corporate CEO Dr. George Cheriyan expressed profound gratitude to His Majesty for granting the hospital the privilege of hosting the tournament for 26 consecutive years at the Royal private golf course. He also extended heartfelt thanks to the event’s committed sponsors, acknowledging their steadfast support and dedication.
Dr. Cheriyan emphasized that the Island Classic is more than just a sporting event—it is a charitable initiative rooted in AMH’s mission of service, compassion, and community upliftment. He noted that the tournament continues to raise meaningful support for individuals in need across Bahrain, helping AMH strengthen its charitable healthcare programs and widen access to quality medical services.
He also highlighted several recent milestones achieved by AMH, particularly since the inauguration of the King Hamad American Mission Hospital in A’ali, marking a new chapter of growth for the institution.
The evening saw winning golf teams take the stage to receive their trophies and prizes, while key sponsors were honored with commemorative mementos in recognition of their vital contributions. The gala drew a distinguished audience that included dignitaries, prominent business leaders, and senior corporate executives.
AMH Group CEO Ms. Julia Tovey welcomed attendees warmly, stating, “It is a pleasure to host our esteemed guests this evening. We are here to celebrate the golfers and sponsors who play an essential role in making this event possible. Tonight is their night—a moment to recognize their efforts and honor their contributions with gratitude.”
