In line with the Kingdom of Bahrain’s vision to strengthen its global commercial presence, Export Bahrain announces the organization of the Kingdom of Bahrain Pavilion at the 8th edition of the China International Import Expo (CIIE) 2025. Marking the Kingdom’s third participation following the notable success of previous years, this global event is being held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai from 5 to 10 November 2025.
Held under the theme “Cultural Roots, Global Horizons,” and aligned with the official CIIE theme “Empowering Each Other, Composing a New Chapter,” this participation reflects Bahrain’s position as a dynamic commercial hub characterized by economic diversity and a deep cultural legacy. The national pavilion features a wide range of sectors, including manufacturing, tourism, services, sustainable products, and food, complemented by a cultural showcase that embodies Bahrain’s authentic identity. Through this participation, Export Bahrain aims to deepen trade relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the People’s Republic of China while creating new export opportunities for local businesses in international markets. The pavilion experience will combine sectoral showcases with interactive cultural displays and business meetings designed to connect Bahrain-based businesses with potential buyers and investors, highlighting the Kingdom’s competitive advantages across sectors.
On this occasion, Ms. Safa Sharif Abdulkhaliq, Export Bahrain’s Chief Executive Officer, commented: “Export Bahrain’s participation at the China International Import Expo complements our work to build capability and embed an export culture in the Kingdom. By presenting the strength of Bahrain-based businesses and engaging with reputable counterparts in China, we help reinforce value-chain links, broaden access to markets, and contribute to sustainable, long-term growth for the national economy.”
Organized in collaboration with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Kingdom of Bahrain and supported by strategic partners Gulf Air and the Labour Fund “Tamkeen”, this participation underscores Bahrain’s ongoing efforts to promote its national products and services globally. The Kingdom of Bahrain Pavilion serves as a gateway for meaningful engagement, fostering new partnerships and expanding the horizons of economic cooperation between the two nations.
This partnership is also in line with the efforts of the Labour Fund “Tamkeen” to enhance the growth and expansion opportunities of Bahraini businesses and their access to international markets, through participation in specialized international events.
