KFH Invests in Future Banking Leaders Through Its ‘Next Gen’ Programme
Training programme held for KFH employees’ children
Kuwait Finance House (KFH) has successfully completed the second cohort of its flagship ‘KFH Next Gen’ training programme. The initiative welcomed 19 children of KFH employees from 10 different universities for an intensive one-month programme designed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world industry demands.
The ‘KFH Next Gen’ programme is a key part of KFH’s commitment to nurturing local talent and investing in the future leaders of Bahrain’s financial sector. The comprehensive programme offered a holistic learning experience, combining theoretical knowledge with practical application.
The first two weeks focused on classroom learning through expert-led lectures. These sessions covered banking fundamentals, KFH’s operations, essential soft skills for the modern workplace, and targeted work readiness workshops.
Following the classroom phase, students moved into a two-week practical training period. Each participant was placed in a department aligned with their university major, allowing them to gain hands-on experience and apply their knowledge in a professional environment. Key departments for this cohort included Retail Banking, Risk Management, and Information Technology.
Commenting on the programme’s completion, Dana Bukhammas, Group Head – Human Resources Transformation & Development at KFH, said:
“We are thrilled to have successfully completed our second cohort of the ‘KFH Next Gen’ programme. This initiative demonstrates our commitment to supporting the families of our employees by empowering their children. Through a careful blend of theoretical knowledge and practical training, we aim to nurture the skills and confidence needed for successful careers.
We are proud to witness the achievements of our employees’ children. Their success is an extension of our employees’ accomplishments and reflects our belief in investing in the next generation to ensure sustainable growth.”
The programme was also designed to immerse students in KFH’s professional culture, ethics, and values, preparing them for a seamless transition from academia to the corporate world.
