Asian woman who stole BD200,000 from Bahrain company set to learn fate today

An Asian woman who reportedly managed to launder BD200,000 which she robbed from her company will learn the fate of her appeal today.
The woman is said to have embezzled the money between the years 2014-2020 as she was responsible for collecting money from customers.
Her company was operating in the video-production field and it also owned several buildings.
She was getting money from tenants as well, and she took advantage of the fact that, in some cases, the customers weren’t requesting receipts.
The woman reportedly took advantage of the cash by transferring it to family members and buying valuables.
She reportedly resorted on some occasions to friends to do the money transfer and they have done it on goodwill.
The woman was eventually discovered and put on trial after being investigated.
She was charged with laundering BD200,000. She was initially sentenced to five years in prison.
