Need unified Arab army, mp urges
Manama
MP Nabeel Al Balooshi requested GCC authorities to urgently send forces to join Al Hazam Storm Operation, which he considers the seed to building a unified Arab army under the leadership of Saudi Arabia in order to protect the security of people from existing threats regionally and globally.
He said that relying on outside forces for security, in particular the US, runs as a risk and threat.
“The US can’t be trusted as it abandoned its allies and joined with Iran and enemy forces in Iraq, Syria and Yemen. Signing the nuclear agreement with Iran would have unleashed the country’s militia forces on our nations,” he observed.
Al Balooshi urged to create a new joint Arab military force that will manufacture planes, tanks and missiles indigenously.
Stressing on the importance of self-reliance, he opined that Arab countries should not continue to take arms from enemy states.
He commented: “The nuclear agreement with Iran will give it license for military manufacture and its nuclear programme will be used to amass power, spread conflict and invade our countries.” “Once they become an agent of the US, it will weaken the Arab forces so they must act quickly by using their resources to combat this.”
