‘Dead’ man, 95, wakes up, stuns relatives
A 95-year-old has shocked his family members by ‘miraculously’ waking up during his own funeral after being declared dead by a doctor but he insists he just took a nap.
The bizarre incident took place in the town of Khetri Nagar in the Jhunjhunu district of the Indian state of Rajasthan. Local media report 95-year-old Budh Ram fainted at his home and a doctor was called who told his family members that the pensioner had died. Ram was officially declared dead and a priest was reportedly called to perform the pensioner’s last rites.
His eldest son, Balu Ram, 65, told reporters that the family were preparing to bathe his father’s body as is customary before a funeral and began pouring water onto his chest.
