Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), the “Home of Motorsport in the Middle East,” in collaboration with CBX Sports Promotion and the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC), today announced the first five players confirmed for the Bahrain Masters Darts 2026.
Current World Champion and global sensation Luke Littler returns to Bahrain alongside darts legend and last year’s Bahrain Masters champion, England’s Stephen Bunting, who will be defending his title, and three other former World Champions.
The highly anticipated tournament is scheduled to take place on January 15-16 at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre. The event is organized by Bahrain International Circuit, the Professional Darts Corporation, and CBX Sports Promotion, with the support of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority.
PDC World Series opener
The Bahrain Darts Masters is the first event after the 2025/2026 World Darts Championship – which kicks off in London this week – and will serve as the opening event of the PDC World Series of Darts for the coming year, making it a highly anticipated event for millions around the world. Luke Littler is confirmed to return to Bahrain, where he won his first major darts title in 2024 with a perfect nine-dart finish. Since then, Littler has become a household name, winning the World Championship last year, in addition to his victories this year at the World Matchplay and the Grand Slam of Darts.
He will be joined by last year’s Bahrain Darts Masters champion, Stephen Bunting, as well as three former world champions, including three-time world champion Michael “Mighty” van Gerwen from the Netherlands, 2021 world champion Gerwyn “The Iceman” Price from Wales, and 2024 world champion Luke “Cool Hand” Humphries from England.
Popular players
All five players are hugely popular in Bahrain, with Bunting winning on his debut earlier this year. Price and Humphries are returning for their fourth consecutive year, while van Gerwen made his Bahrain debut in 2024, reaching the final.
Eight of the Professional Darts Corporation’s (PDC) legends will compete against a selection of the best players from across Asia, including two players from the Kingdom of Bahrain, in this two-night tournament, scheduled for just over a month from now.
